Continuing My Paramedical Tattooing Journey
This season has been such a huge milestone in my career, and I’m excited to finally share an update on my paramedical tattooing journey. After months of studying, hands-on work, and a whole lot of passion, I have officially earned my certification in permanent cosmetics. It took approximately three months to complete the licensing process, and I’m incredibly proud to say that I am now able to provide permanent makeup services right here at Its Only Forever Tattoo.
With this certification checked off, I’m already moving into the next phase of my education: scar and areola repigmentation training. My next round of specialized classes begins in January, and I can’t wait to expand my skills so I can begin offering these deeply meaningful services in the state of New Jersey.
Why Areola Repigmentation Matters
Areola repigmentation is one of the most impactful forms of paramedical tattooing. It is a restorative tattooing technique that helps recreate the appearance of a natural areola and nipple after breast reconstruction surgery. This service can help individuals feel more complete and regain a sense of confidence and wholeness after:
Breast cancer treatment and mastectomy
Gender-affirming top surgery
Trauma or surgical scarring
Congenital differences
It’s not just a tattoo—it’s part of emotional healing, identity recovery, and reclaiming the body after a difficult or transformative journey. I feel honored to be moving toward work that carries this level of meaning.
My Long-Term Vision
Once I am fully certified, my goal is to dedicate part of my practice to giving back. This work goes far beyond aesthetics—it’s about restoring dignity, confidence, and a sense of peace.
My dream is to offer restorative tattoo services to individuals who are underserved or who may not have access to these procedures, including:
Survivors of breast cancer
People who have undergone gender reassignment/affirming surgery
Individuals with self-harm scars
Survivors of domestic violence
Survivors of human trafficking
I plan to partner with nonprofit organizations so that these paramedical tattooing services can be provided at low or no cost to those who truly need them. No one should feel that financial limitations stand between them and healing.
Looking Forward
This journey is far from over, but each new step brings me closer to offering the kind of work that changes lives. I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me—from clients and mentors to friends and loved ones. I can’t wait to update you all again in January once my next stage of training is complete.
Thank you for following along as I grow, learn, and move toward a future where art and healing meet in the most meaningful way.
